2017 Marry Me…Again

Yes, Marry Me Again has a special meaning to us. A phrase we use on occasions of happiness, when we have done something really nice together. In this case, it is the creation of a special wine that is near to our hearts. It is a bold Red Wine, blended carefully from the Touriga National and Mourvedre grapes, which are grown on our unique 20 acre PARR VINEYARDS property near Mason, Texas. This wine was fermented and aged for 2 1/2 years in large French oak vats which produce a silky smoothness in new wines. We think this wine will be worthy of serving at the special times in your lives for many years to come.

2018 Tempranillo Joven

Fine Tempranillo is normally aged 2 to 3 years in oak barrels, plus some months in the bottle before release. However, in some vintages, the tannins can be softer, and with the use of large oak casks which we use, a very nice wine can be enjoyed much earlier. Our 2018 Tempranillo “VINO JOVEN” is such a wine. Aged 14 months in French oak casks, this wine was destined for early and enjoyable consumption. Every single vine is tended by caring hands. Each harvest is hand picked at dawn. 2018 Tempranillo Viejo

Tempranillo is a Spanish varietal of vine. It’s fruit is thick skinned and makes deep colored, long lasting wines.
“Temprano” means early in Spanish, Tempranillo gets its name from its ability to ripen early.

Our unusually cool microclimate at Parr Vineyards allow the vines and fruit to cool down in the evenings even in our hottest months. To insure the highest quality bottle of Estate Wines one can experience, we take great pride in Hand Harvesting our fruit each year. This Tempranillo is aged in large French oak casks thus earns the “Viejo” status, meaning old. With each glass you can taste the Soul of the Land. Let us celebrate life.
